Blue Calico Prints: C. 1930's
The little blue cotton calicos shown here are part of an unfinished quilt that probably was started in the 1930's. The textiles are fresh and unfaded, as you can see. This makes them perfect for inspiration or research into 1930's graphic styles, fashion textiles and home crafts. If you plan to sew a 1920's through WWII era house dress, apron or blouse, these are the prints you will be looking for. These tiny florals would pair up nicely with contrast bias trim, ric-rack or eyelet edging, wouldn't they!
